Nature's Way Canada
This spirited group of 12 local reps from Nature’s Way Canada went on a mission to fill plates and hearts. For the third year in a row, they gathered together to cook up 12 pans of lasagne and mac ‘n cheese, plus seven pans of mouth-watering apple crisp for our guests. We’re so grateful to this team for their kindness!
Birthday Giving
Twelve-year-old Brody is on a path to a lifetime of giving to others. Now in his 7th year of donating to Margaret’s House with grandfather Barry, he always looks forward to their annual shopping trip to Costco with unbridled enthusiasm. Gentlemen, thank you for your love and compassion for those in need!
Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish
Donna, Bev and Margaret from Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish delivered one of their new meals of shepherd’s pie.
Ecclesiastical & Gallagher Insurance
Employees from Ecclesiastical Insurance Canada and Gallagher Insurance teamed up to supply and serve hot coffee and treats to guests. They were also put to work distributing handmade blankets from the Mother’s Union at Church of Saint Andrew Cole Harbour, Holy Trinity Emmanuel Anglican Church and Woodlawn United Church. Thanks to these enthusiastic representatives for warming up our guests on a chilly day!
Tim Horton's Smile Cookies
There were broad smiles when Tim Horton’s Cole Harbour franchisee Christy delivered 250 extra Smile cookies for our guests! When the camp fundraising campaign ended, Christy learned that their location took the most cookie sales award for the sixth year in a row.
Intact Insurance
Fifteen staff members from Intact Insurance took ‘brown bag lunch’ to a new level when they met up in their Dartmouth Crossing kitchen to feed our guests. They assembled 150 sandwiches with a variety of fillings and bagged them with extra treats. Thanks to this enthusiastic crew for their caring commitment to help deserving neighbours!
An Amazing Group
Margaret’s House welcomed an amazing group to the kitchen. The consumer goods packaging company brought together a team of 18 from the four Atlantic provinces to lend a hand to our charity kitchen.
100+ Women Who Care Halifax
Margaret’s House was so excited to learn that we’ve been selected by 100+ Women Who Care Halifax to receive a generous contribution from this very charitable group!
Birthday Act of Giving
Young Lakelynn marked her 5th birthday in a truly generous way. For the third year running, her family arrived bearing not just well wishes, but the gift of giving itself.

The Ryan family has honoured the memory of their parents Bob and Patsy Ryan and sister Mary Lou Ryan Dumas for the past 16 years at Margaret’s House.

Margaret’s House volunteers spent the night selling 50/50 tickets for the FLA MMA event.
Tenants Unite!
We love it when tenants in an apartment/condo band together to support Margaret’s House as a group! The Willow on Royale Blvd. is one of those groups and they often deliver many helpful food donations.
Atlantic Wealth Management
Atlantic Wealth Management made an amazing commitment to fund 100 local restaurant hot meals for our guests SIX times in 2024-2025. The photo features Battery Park delivering burgers and fries for our guests.
Anil's 75th Birthday
This story is brought to you by the number 75! For Anil Tayal’s 75th birthday, his family wanted to share their good wishes and prayers with our guests by bringing Tim Horton’s coffee for 75 people and offering up 75 donuts. Here is Anil, his wife Laxmi, grandson Vedant and daughter Shikha, who stayed to serve our guests this wonderful treat. Happy birthday, Anil and thank you!
